Heritage? Inheritance is a subject which various peoples and cultures treat differently. Inheritance (from “inherit”) leads to heritage. Going by dictionary definitions we find that there are several aspects of (everyone’s) heritage which are seldom mentioned. The expendable currency of heritage is predicated first and foremost upon social acceptability. The society is market force behind heritage transactions. Whether it is accepted or not any people’s heritage is a complex of multiple realities. But the finished product which we call heritage is often a biased and intentionally sifted story which privileges the immediate era.
